Shila Oringer (1970), self-taught artist, lives and works in Glickson Village. Specializes in the field of assembly on abandoned metal and wood surfaces.

Shila finds a soul within the corrosion wear of materials, her works give meaning, power and a second, third and temporary life to worn and abandoned objects.
Shila wanders around the country and finds work surfaces that are time-stamped, old covers, burnt wood, rusty metal - all of which attract her to the creation of something out of nothing. To them she embroiders gold and silk threads, angel wings and fluttering mosquito nets.

For the past 15 years Shila has been selling her works in various galleries to collectors and private homes. Shila also conducts creative workshops at her studio in Glickson Village.
