Classic Talmudic glossary by R. Nosson of Rome. Quoted extensively by Rashi and other early Rishonim the Sefer Ha’Aruch is a fundamental sefer for an accurate understanding of The Talmud. It is also a source for Citations of Midrashim, quotes of The Gaonim and early Minhagim.
In addition, it is historically noteworthy as the only literary production of the Italian Jews of this era.
R. Nosson of Rome (1031-1106) was one of the early Rishonim.
