Fundamental philosophical work by the RaMBaM with the commentaries Shem Tov, Apuri and the Ibn Karshkash, the latter published here for the first time. Following its publication, almost every philosophic work cited and commented on this sefer. Within Judaism, the Guide was widely popular, with many Jewish communities requesting copies. However in some communities its study was not encouraged, as a less philosophical approach to Judaism was preferred.
