Chofetz Chaim. R. Yisroel Meir Ha’Cohen. Lot of 2 Seforim with “Muga”.
Lot of 2 seforim, Nidchei Yisroel (Warsaw 1897), Ahavas Chesed, Shem Olam 1-2, Chomas Ha’Daas and Toras Ha’Bayis (Warsaw 1923). The Nidchei Yisroel has “muga” written twice in pencil. The second volume has “muga” written in pen.
As is well-known, the Chofetz Chaim with the assistance of his family, personally checked every sefer before it was sold to ensure he would not be selling defective goods. Once checked they were inscribed in Hebrew with the word “muga” (checked).
