Brooch, designed by Ze’ev Raban, decorated with biblical Jacob and Rachel at the well. Stamped on the back: Made in Palestine. Sterling silver. Jerusalem, Palestine. Circa the 1930s.
Ze’ev Raban (1890 - 1970), one of the fathers of Israeli art, was a prominent Israeli painter, designer and the manager of Bezalel school.
Diameter: approximately 4 cm. Good condition, wear.
