Advertising poster in Hebrew for the Israeli national loan (Ha’Milve Ha’Amami). Circa 1950. Printed by Litho A. Kaufman and Partners, Government Press, Tel Aviv. Designed by the Shamir Brothers. Color lithograph poster, illustrated with father happily waving a loan certificate throughout a window, and carries the inscription: "Your home will be filled with light upon receiving the news…".
Gabriel and Maxim Shamir were two of the most prominent Israeli graphic designers. Their works include Israel's official state emblems, medals, stamps and currency notes.
Dimensions: approximately 34X48 cm. Good condition, folds, creases, slight tears to margins, wear.
