Born in Freiburg, Germany, artist Theophile Schneider studied under Hans Hofmann, Charles Hawthorne and George Noyes. His works were exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Society of Independent Artists, Boston Art Club and the New York Watercolor Society. While living in Boston and New York, Schneider made many trips up the New England coast and joined his fellow artists out on Monhegan Island to capture the essence of the Maine coast. Paintings on board measure 28.5" x 22" each, the one on paper is 24" x 19". All are unframed.
