Pennsylvania Federal Walnut Splay Leg Stand, Early 19th Century
A Pennsylvania Federal Walnut Splay Leg Stand, Early 19th Century. The square top above a single dovetailed splayed drawer with incised beading and oval pressed brass handle with acorn, raised on turned tapered splay legs. Walnut and tulip poplar secondary wood.
Dimensions: Height 28 3/4in; width 18in; depth 17 1/2in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Retaining a very old, grungy and dry surface. Original brass, heavy toning overall. The top with slight warping. There is a half width horizontal age crack to the top on the right side. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
