stamped on the reverse MADOURA PLEIN FEU and EDITION PICASSO. signed in black: J and EDITION PICASSO.
Literature: Picasso: Catalog of works published in ceramics 1947-1971. Alain Ramiי, Galerie Madoura, 1988. Ramiי, n° 45. The plates from the "Black Face Service" of 1948 are among Picasso's first ceramic editions. They were produced in a comparatively low number of copies, only 100.
