Barocke Elfenbeinschnitzerei
Mitte 18. Jh., Elfenbein, überaus qualitätvoll beschnitzt, ursprünglich wohl Einlage aus einem Kabinettschrank, halbplastisch gefertigte vielfigurige Schlachtenszene vor Stadtsilhouette, dynamische zentrale Reiterdarstellung, umringt von Infanteristen und weiterer Kavallerie, Szene in altersgemäß sehr gutem Zustand, leichte Beschädigungen im Hintergrund, in massiver Holzleiste gefasst, beigegeben CITES-Papiere, Maße 22 x 33 cm.

Mid 18th century, ivory, exquisitely carved, probably originally an inlay from a cabinet, semi-sculptural multi-figure battle scene in front of a city silhouette, dynamic central equestrian depiction surrounded by infantrymen and other cavalry, scene in very good condition for its age, slight damage to the background, set in a solid wooden moulding, enclosed CITES paper, dimensions 22 x 33 cm.
