About The Artist:
Sana Farah-Bishara was born in Nazareth in 1964. In 1985, she graduated from the Neri Bloomfield Academy of Design and Education in Haifa. In 1988, she received her B.A. in fine art and sociology from the University of Haifa. She alo studied museology at the University of Haifa. She has taught art and ceramics at a number of schools and community centers, and has served as the Director of Art Education for Arab Schools at the Janco Dada Museum, Ein Hod. She worked as an art teacher for the ministry of Education instructing children in several hospitals in Haifa. She is a member of the Painters and Sculptors Association of Haifa and the North, and of the Abda’a Association for the Advancement of Art in the Arab Sector. Her sculptures are included in a number of private collections; one of her works, a bronze sculpture of a bird, is on permanent display at the District Court in Jerusalem. She is the recipient of an honorary prize for Haifa artists (2000), and of the Herman Struck Prize, City of Haifa (2007).
