Sefer Yesharesh Yaakov, chiddushei halachot and aggadot on Masechet Yevamot by the gaon Rabbi Shlomo ben Yaakov Drimer, Av Beit Din of Skała, a Kasov chassid who studied under the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. first edition, Lemberg 1863. [1], 136, [1] leaves. Stefanski Sifrei Yesod 91.


Strong, original(?) binding, leather spine and corners, stains, tape on the last pages, overall good condition.

Stamps on the title page: “Eliyahu ben HaRav Rabbi Shlomo Room, dayan in Jerusalem”—this figure served as dayan in the beit din led by Rav Zvi Pesach Frank.

The body of the text has a note of ownership: “Yerachmiel Fischel Berenstein”. The back of the title page has a note written in pencil which details his yichus, which includes the Yehudi HaKadosh of Peshischa, Rabbi Moshe Miyanov (a student of the Rebbe of Lublin) and that he was the son of Rabbi Binyamin Yehuda Leib, the first Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Chayei Olam in Jerusalem. At the end is a pencil note: Moga.
