Sefer Yam shel Shlomo on Yevamot, by the famed Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Luria, also known as the Maharshal, Av Beit Din of Lublin, who was a friend of the Maharsha. First Edition - Altona 1740. [2], 93, [3] leaves. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod no. 64.

The title page is with a finely engraved illustration of Moshe and Aharon and King David playing. The title page of this copy is significantly different from that of other copies: in most copies, on the lower part of the title page appears an illustration of Chalom Yaakov whereas in this copy, it is replaced by an inscription.
Approbations be Gedolei Hador: Rabbi Yaakov Katz Av Beit Din of Frankfurt, Rabbi Yechezkel Katznelboigen and Rabbi Zvi Ashkenazi Av Beit Din of Emdin.
Restored title page. Moth damage to the first gathering. Front board only without a spine. Stains. Wear due to use. Most of the book is in good overall condition.
An ancient signature on the title page: "יעקב הלוי מראווע" and an additional blurred signature. An additional later notation: "יצחק ציון". On the leaf of approbations, a partly erased stamp with the words: "שידלאווצי יוסף".
Several pen and pencil glosses on the margins of the sheets.
