WILLIAM CRUICKSHANK(1848-1922) , Watercolor, Still Life, Game Birds, 12.5X10cm. Ducks, Signed, c.1880 - A follower of William Henry Hunt. He lived in South London and was active from 1866 to 1890. William Cruickshank was from a large family of artists. He specialized in still life, especially in game and genre works. He exhibited 6 works at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool and 15 at the Royal British Academy. Much if his work was in miniature watercolor like this one. A very talented artist. Quality work.
