Grupo escultórico do séc. XIX, em pedra sabão
Sculpture group from the 19th century, in soapstone and polychrome plaster, representing Our Lady of the Assumption, Saint Michael the Archangel, four figures and "putti". Our Lady is represented in the center, with hands folded in prayer, raised on a flowered pedestal, supported by "putti". At her feet Saint Michael the Archangel, holding sword and shield, tramples the devil. Flanking the central figure are two figures wearing top hats, one being black. To the left of São Miguel we have an Indian with a bow, arrows and quiver and, on the other side, an unidentified figure holding a cartouche with an inscription. The entire composition is based on a base simulating terrain. With silver crown, without marks, pursuant to Decree-Law 120/2017, of 15 September - art. 2, no. 2, subparagraph c). Painted wooden base resting on three golden metal feet. Dome missing. Broken and glued, faults, failures, restorations, wear and defects. Height approx. max.: 55 cm.
