Tobacco box, Netherlands / Friesland, 18th century.
copper, partly gold-plated, tobacco box, model based on Iserlohn boxes, on the lid the engraved view of a port town, titled S. BOS, on the edge a saying in Low German dialect, base with engraved cartouche, inside a coat of arms, good age-appropriate condition, 3.2 x 17 x 4.6 cm (HxWxD)

Tabatiere, Niederlande / Friesland, 18. Jh.
Kupfer, teilvergoldet, Tabaksdose, Modell in Anlehnung an Iserlohner Dosen, auf dem Deckel die gravierte Ansicht einer Hafenstadt, betitelt S. BOS, auf dem Rand ein Spruch in niederdeutscher Mundart, Boden mit gravierter Kartusche, darin ein Wappen, altersgemäß guter Zustand, 3,2 x 17 x 4,6 cm (HxBxT)
Möglicherweise handelt es sich hier um S´Hertogenbosch.
