Rabbi Moshe, was also known by the last name “Freund.” He was born in Pacs, in 1797, and studied under the Chatam Sofer who wrote about him with many honorifics and much praise. He called Rabbi Moshe his most senior student, the wondrous, the diligent … He is mentioned in the Shu”t Chatam Sofer . He was was rabbi in Jac. Refer to HaChatam Sofer V’Talmidav, 358-360.
