The signature of the gaon Rabbi Avraham Bek, rabbi of Halitz - corresponded with the Chasam Sofer
רבי אברהם בעק [בק] היה תלמידו של בעל 'מחצית השקל' ונסמך להוראה ממנו ומרבי מרדכי בנט. היה רבה של קאסטל, ואחר כך רבה הנודע של האליטש משך כעשרים שנה עד פטירתו בשנת תרי"א [1851]. התכתב עם הגה"ק החתם סופר. נספד ע"י הכתב סופר: "הספ מר בכי תמרורים על חמשה צדיקים מוריהתורה שאבדנו... ואברהם הוא אברהם הגון הצדיק דק"ק האליטש חד מתלמידי מחצית השקל..."
