Tur - Yoreh De'ah, Berlin 1702. The Copy Used by R. Moshe Eiger of Matersdorf.
Sefer Tur on Yoreh De'ah, Berlin 1702. An important edition which was used by many Torah scholars, including R. Yaakov Emden who filled the volume with his handwritten notes (currently held at Columbia University).
This copy was owned by a certain R. Gavriel of Matersdorf, which was subsuequently lent to R. Moshe Gunz-Eiger, son of R. Simcha Bumin of Matersdorf, who was the nephew of R. Akiva Eiger.
R. Moshe Eiger attests to this several times, as seen on flyleaf. See Hebrew text for transcription.
Handwritten corrections seen on some leaves. Several ownership inscriptions on title page; lacking top cover.
The book in its entirety has yet to be examined and is being sold as is; not subject to return.
In moderate condition, worn and detached from heavy use. Most of the leaves are worn and torn, sometimes with loss.
