Sefer Bnei Moshe, Constantinople 1713. First Edition. Personal Copy of The Chida

Sefer Bnei Moshe, a collection of responsa by R. Moshe Sultan, one of the leading sages of Constantinople during the 17th century. First Edition, published after his death by his nephew. Includes responsa from many of the greatest Rabbis of that generation, such as the Kneses Hagedolah, the Pnei Moshe, and others.

The personal copy of R. Chaim Yosef David Azoulai – The Chida, with his autograph on the title page. As is common for the Chida, he would sign his name in many different styles and variants. The particular style seen on this work seems to have been signed in his younger years.

In very good condition, printed on thick high-quality paper. Bound in original vellum binding with partial damage to spine. Various inscriptions seen on binding.

Page size: 32cm.
[2], 126; 8, [3] pp.
