The Cadillacs were an American rock and roll and doo-wop group from Harlem, New York, active from 1953 to 1962. The group was noted for their 1955 hit "Speedoo", written by Esther Navarro, which was instrumental in attracting white audiences to black rock and roll performers.
The Fabulous Cadillacs, released in 1957, is a compilation of singles that the group had released going as far back as 1953. The album sold reasonably well for a 1950s LP, helped by the well-known single “Speedoo.”
Condition: Pre-owned, used, well preserved vintage vinyl record. Records in this auction came from a pristine collection of an avid audiophile, organized and stored under controlled conditions.
