A selection of Five (5) Japanese woodblock print books from the Showa period or earlier will be presented. These books are from the Ethel Traphagen (1882-1963) Collection. Ethel Traphagen was the founder of the Traphagen School of Fashion (1923-1991).

This is a no-reserve auction and items can be shipped worldwide.

Showa Period Japanese Prints Colored and Ink Booklet from the Ethel Traphagen Collection

20 folded mulberry pages with multiple prints on each.  10 of the prints are hand-colored. The booklet measures 6 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches. Pages are fully or partially separated from the binding.  There are edge chips, creases, and browning on edges. The colors are vibrant and this is from the Showa period.
