Terracotta Sculpture - Bar Mitzvah - Czechoslovakia
Bar Mitzvah. Sculpture portraying a boy taught by a Rabbi how to lay Tefillin, as part of his preparations for the Bar Mitzvah. Titled at the bottom: Bar Mizvoh. Hand painted terra-cotta pottery. Marked and numbered at the bottom, alongside the stamp: Made in Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia, circa the early 20th century. Dimensions of the base: approximately 13X20 cm, height: approximately 27 cm. Good condition, the boy’s arm might have been re-glued, chips, wear.
