A CANAANITE SOLID CAST BRONZE DEITY
Middle Bronze Age II, 1830 – 1550 BCE. Standing naked with arms in front of him. The head is pointed and the nose, eyes, mouth and ears are prominently created. With very nice green patina and in very good condition. Rare early example. 11.3 cm high. Cf. Ora Negbi, Canaanite Gods in Metal, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, 1976, figs.11-13, pp. 9-11.
