A historic letter detailing a commitment to financially support the Minchas Elazar when living in Eretz Yisrael.
"We the undersigned admit… how we committed ourselves with a complete commitment to each pay a sum of fifty gram every single month to the Admor, Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapira, Av Beis Din of Munkatch, when he comes to live in our land in our holy city of Jerusalem…"
Dated the first of Cheshvan, 1925, the letter is written and signed by Rabbi Shmuel Deutsch, along with Rabbi Amram Blau and one other person.
The whole topic regarding the Minchas Elazar’s deep desire to move to Eretz Yisrael is very unknown.
