The Famous Segula Letter from Reb Itzikel of Pshevorsk for Gallstones Extraordinary Letter by Rabbi Itzikel of Pshevorsk Together and his Son-in-law Rabbi Yaakov Leizer
L
etter packed with blessings and well-wishes, handwritten by Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak Gewirtzman of Pshevorsk, descendant of the Noam Elimelech, followed by a private letter from his son-in-law and successor, Rabbi Yaakov Leizer.
On the other side of the letter Rabbi Itzikel describes how when saying the words
"Hahofchi hatzur agam mayim," he thinks of someone suffering from gallstones; that the tzur – stones, should turn into an agam mayim –water.
This letter use to circulate between the chassidim as a segula for Gallstones.
Rabbi Itzikel ends the letter with a blessing for good livelihood with ease and comfort.
