A lengthy and learned responsa discussing whether funds from an inheritance that were designated for charity may instead be used for the destitute family members of the deceased. Eight pages.

12th Teveth, Kovno: 1898.

The writer was the son of R. Yitzchak Elchonon Spector, both he and the recipient were among the forefront of leading Poskim of their generation. The respect the two had for each other is abundantly clear from the content of this letter.
