The Blue Violinist - Silver Medal 999 Designed by Marc Chagall
The Blue Violinist - Silver Medal 999 Designed by Marc Chagall, published by the Government Company, the second medal in the beautiful series of medals with prints from the works of famous artists on the subject of music, is dedicated to the 20th century Jewish painters Marc Chagall. Chagall often expressed the "Jewish melody" in his works. When you look at the painting "The Blue Violinist" appearing on the medal, you can almost hear the sounds of the sweetness and sadness of the violin. On the other side of the medal, in relief, is another work by Chagall, which depicts the number one musician of the Jewish people: King David, Na'im Zimirot Israel, plays the harp. This work is taken from the monumental wall carpet created by Chagall in 1964, which glorifies the Knesset building to this day. This special medal was issued with the approval of Chagall's heirs and is marked by its size in the ADAGP PARIS 2006. On the reverse side of the medal, another work by Chagall, which depicts the number one musician of the Jewish people: King David, Na'im Zimirot Israel, playing harp. This work is taken from the monumental wall carpet created by Chagall in 1964, which glorifies the Knesset building to this day. Dimensions: 60x48 mm, weight: 105 grams.
