FABERGE, EXTREMELY RARE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL MILITARY BADGE of GUARDS
Badge of guards Military Headquarters and the St. Petersburg Military District. Officially approved on the 7th of March, 1912. Badge is a silver St. Andrews star completed by the gold Imperial crown.
On the horizontal rays of the cross there are gold dates '1812" and '1912". In the center of the star there are combined cyphers of the Emperors Alexander I and Nicholas II. It is very rare badge. Miniature.
The badge is made by FABERGE. You can see WORKMASTER'S CYRILLIC INITIALS 'AP' FOR ALEXANDER PETROV, ST PETERSBURG, 1896-1908. Please see the screenshot from CHRISTIE'S auction for enamel box made by the same workmaster Alexander Petrov (AP) - sold price is $50.000
