With brass hilt with twisted wire-wound grip, presentation grade blade decorated with gilt, bluing, and engravings depicting mounted hussar and inscribed "VIVAT HUSSAR" on both sides, most of the gilt and bluing is intact, wood scabbard covered with black leather with two large brass fittings, upper fitting is stamped "J"
