The case surmounted by an armoured figure with capstan, rope and anchor behind and cannon balls at his feet, stamped to the reverse 'S. WEHL ST. PETERSBURG', the enamel dial with Roman hours, the eight day twin barrels movement with countwheel strike on bell. Case stamped by SAMUEL WEHL, ST. PETERSBURG. Ca. 1840
