The People’s Artist of USSR, the full member of the Academy of Arts of USSR, the laureate of the Stalin prize of USSR (1950)He stadied at the Artistic school for the memory of Revolution of 1905, the classes by N.P. Krymov (1931-1936), and in the Surikov Moscow State Institute of Arts (1936 - 1945), the studio by S.V. Gerasimov. A portrait painter, the author of genre canvas made in accordance with the traditions of the Russian realistic school of painting. He was a tutor in the Surikov Moscow State Institute of Arts. A participant of many abroad exhibitions all over the world. The creations of Y.P. Krymov are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery, in the Kiev Museum of Russian Art, in the artistic museums of the cities of Tvier, Rostov, Kharkov, Lvov and Taganrog
