Wooden plaque, Qing dynasty.
Carved wood. The front part is decorated in bas-relief with a circle surrounded by clouds surrounding two dragons holding a sign with five archaic characters. On the back there are a series of characters engraved, polychrome in blue and red, that indicate the reason for this commemorative plaque.
Text at the top "凌烟阁二十四功臣" (Twenty-four heroes of the Lingyan Pavilion); Left text "贞观六年太宗御赐" (Royal gift from Emperor Taizong for the sixth year of Zhenguan); Center text "男儿何不带吴钩/ 收取关山五十州 / 请君暂上凌烟阁 / 若个书生万户侯"; Right text: "大唐"; Bottom text: "令" In perfect condition.
