Chinese painting "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva", Liang Shizheng and Chen Meigong.
Pigments and gold on canvas, mounted with a wooden stretcher (no frame). On the outside of the painting is a poem dealing with the prayers of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. The fabric inside represents this Buddha along with a signature and two seals.
Signature of the poem: 臣梁诗正敬书. Liang Shizheng (1697-1763) "梁诗正" was a Qing dynasty official and calligrapher. is considered in poetry and prose as a relevant author.
Painting signature: 臣陈枚恭画 (Painting by Chen Chen Meigong). Qing dynasty painter; Seal: 陈枚之印 (Seal of Chen Meizhi, Dianhuan); Seal: 殿抡 (Dianhuan Miaozhuan, private seal).
