A single edition of this prestigious work by Rabbi Shmuel son of Yaakov Chagiz. The work is comprised of three homiletics on each parashah in the Bible.
Rabbi Shmuel son of Yaakov Chagiz was one of the sages of Fez. He travelled to Venice to print his work, and from there continued to the Holy Land. Rabbi Shmuel’s oldest son, Rabbi Yaakov, was born in the Holy Land. Rabbi Yaakov was the author of Etz Haim and Halachot Ketanot, and father of Rabbi Moshe Chagiz, the Maniach (= Moshe beN Yakov Chagiz) (see his book Mishnat Chachamim, letter 3).
