The owners of the printing house brothers Karimov – Muhametshin, Charifson and Hassan Mingazetdinova – called his company "the foundry". They were among the first and perhaps the most successful publishers and booksellers among the Tatars. According to the historian Radik Salikhov, Karimov came from a Large village Circley Simbirsk. ... In 1898, the merchants created a trading house " Partnership on faith br. Karimov", and in March 1900 opened a dictionary, which produced books on different branches of knowledge-works of religious and didactic nature, textbooks, popular science and fiction.

P. S. Brothers Mukhametshin (25.08.1853 — ?), Charifson (1850 — ?), Hassan (1872 -?) Mingazetdinova Karimov — the largest Tatar booksellers and publishers, were born in Big Circley Simbirsk province (now Ulyanovsk region). Muhametshin and Charifson, in the early years, having arrived in Kazan, took a course of theological studies under the guidance of the famous Imam sh. Mardzhani. In 1898 they created " a Trading House in the image of A partnership on faith under the firm of br. On March 1, 1900, they opened their own printing house and dictionary, which began to produce books on various branches of knowledge: works of religious and didactic nature, textbooks, popular science and fiction. As noted by academician A. Karimullin: "... printing br. Karimov a year after its opening gained high rates of printing books, which were supported in other years... in 1901-1917 br printing house. Karimov issued 1 700 Tatar books with a total circulation 19.647.076 copies..."In 1916, the printing house employed 38 workers, and its annual turnover was 100 000 rubles.
Book publishing did not give big and quick profits, and therefore brothers Karimov fairly traded goods, perfume, moscatelli goods. They had branches of the Trading house in Orenburg, Ufa (managed by Hassan Karimov), Nizhny Novgorod, Menzelinsk, Irbit, Simbirsk, Khan and other fairs. The enterprise on wholesale of the specified goods in Kazan in 1916 had a turnover in 300 000 rubles.
The Karimov brothers, who were attached to the camp of the progressive Tatar bourgeoisie, already in the first years of their company's existence began to implement a number of very large projects in the field of culture. In 1906 they supported the initiative of A-H. N. Maksudi on the establishment of the first Muslim libraries "Kitapkhana Islam." For her brothers Karimov provided a large room in its own publishing complex-a reading room for 150 seats, and donated to its Fund 448 books of various contents. The trading house of the Karimov brothers successfully published a national newspaper "Koyash" ("Sun"), the editor of which was the famous Tatar writer and publicist Fatih Amirkhan.
After the revolution, the property of entrepreneurs was nationalized, and their fate and the fate of their descendants during the Soviet era is unknown.
