Korzukhina G. F. Russian treasures of the IX-XIII centuries.
Moscow-Leningrad. Publishing house of the USSR Academy of Sciences, 1954 156 p., 74 p. table. and maps., Fig. Hard fabric cover with embossed cover, very large format (27.5 x 34.5 cm). The binding is dirty and worn, has damage; a slight trace of moisture on the upper edge of the block on the first 30 pages; the gilding has faded.

[The monograph contains a summary of Russian hoards of the IX–XIII centuries – large and small, preserved and missing, published and not included in publications.

The hoards are systematized according to chronological (time) criteria. Within chronological groups, they are separated according to ancient historical and geographical areas (by river basins, lands, and principalities). The hoard summary is preceded by three chapters.

The first of them provides General information about the hoards – data on their number, detection conditions, distribution boundaries, and basic Dating principles.

The second Chapter examines in detail the composition of the treasures, justifies their division into a number of chronological groups and explains the historical events that caused the need to hide the values.

The third Chapter is devoted to the treasures as a historical source. It considers data about the owners of treasures, the place of certain decorations in the ancient costume, the history of Russian metal hat and some controversial issues of the history of Russian jewelry art. These four topics are chosen because they are directly related to the study of the treasures themselves and help to reveal their content more fully.]
