Alexander Ignatievich Lebedev (1830, Saint Petersburg-4 [16] April 1898, there) was a Russian cartoonist and draftsman.

According to some sources, he was born in 1835, and according to MESBE in 1826. He graduated from the school of topographers, after which he briefly worked as a surveyor. After that, he was educated at the Academy of arts (1849-1857; a pupil of P. V. basin). He began to publish his cartoons in the magazine "Veselchak", from the beginning of the 1860s in" Iskra", then collaborated with the magazines" alarm Clock", " Dragonfly", " Jester", " Shards " and other periodicals. He died in Saint Petersburg, and was buried in the Smolenskoye cemetery (the grave has not been preserved).

He illustrated the" Human Comedy "of I. F. Vasilevsky-Letters (Saint Petersburg, 1883), the prize for the magazine "Fragments" of 1893: "Humor of F. M. Dostoevsky", etc.

Alexander Lebedev's works to Shchedrin's works are the most significant in the artist's work. Rarity.
