N. I. Gorbachevsky (1804-1880) was a Russian historian and archaeographer. The first archivist of the Vilna Central Archive of Ancient Acts, actively participated in the activities of the Vilna Archeographic Commission. In 1867, Gorbachevsky published his first major work — "Short Tables". The researchers note that the works of Gorbachevsky, in particular "Short Tables" and "Dictionary of the Ancient Language", are unique and to this day do not even have a partial replacement.
