Memoir writer-memoirist, novelist, publisher of the magazine "Russian Royal House of Romanov" Cornelius A. Borozdin (1828-1896). In the 1850s, Borozdin lived in the Caucasus as an official for assignments under Governor N. p. Kolyubakin, and then as a district chief in Mingrelia. After fourteen years, he moved to Moscow and became a lawyer, and from 1870 he settled in St. Petersburg and until the day of his death was engaged in literary activities. In addition to the "Caucasian memories. Mingrelia and Svaneti from 1854 to 1861", his pen belongs to the memoirs of count M. T. Loris-Melikov, N. N. Muravyov and many other figures of the Caucasus, published by him on the pages of the " Historical Bulletin "and"Russian Bulletin". The book "Caucasian memories. Mingrelia and Svaneti from 1854 to 1861 consists" of 2 parts. "Omer Pasha in Mingrelia" and "Abolition of the two autonomies". These works, collected together, describe in detail a seven-year period in the life of two Transcaucasian countries - Mingrelia and Svaneti, which eventually became part of the Russian Empire. The text of the publication is supplemented with five portraits printed on separate sheets.
