The Star of the East. № 3, 1967. Literary, artistic, and socio-political magazine.
Tashkent: Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, 1967. - 240 p. In the publisher's cover; enlarged format (16.3 x 26 cm). The cover is worn and dirty; the corners are bent.

[The March issue of "Stars of the East", published after the tragic Tashkent earthquake, became an absolute event in the literary life of the country. That year, many famous writers and poets decided to submit their works for publication on the pages of the next issue of the magazine. The fee from the publications was transferred to the fund for the restoration of Tashkent. The number turned out to be extremely interesting. It was impossible to get it, because on its pages there were not only literary works of the then semi-fallen Voznesensky, Akhmadulina, Yevtushenko, etc., but after many years of silence, the works of Mikhail Bulgakov, Osip Mandelstam, and Isaac Babel also appeared. Elena Sergeyevna Bulgakova, in a special letter to the editor, gave her blessing to the publication of Bulgakov's "Notes on the Cuffs". The print run was instantly sold out. The editor of the magazine — Vyacheslav Kostyrya - was removed from his post. ]
