The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is a revered miraculous icon of the Mother of God, which appeared in Kazan in 1579. One of the most revered icons of the Russian Orthodox Church. Three Kazan icons became the most significant in Russian history: Appeared in Kazan, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
