The echo response. A literary collection dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Ligovsky Folk House. One of the first appearances in print of the original.
Saint Petersburg: Sh. Bussel Printing House. 1913, 48 p Soft cover, size 15 x 21.5 cm. Very good condition, printing, a small tear on the covers on the spine. Rarity.

Alexey Ivanovich Mashirov (alias-Original; March 17, 1884, Saint Petersburg-1943, Leningrad) was a Russian proletarian poet, journalist, working correspondent, and administrator.
From the age of 12, he worked as an apprentice in a factory. Member of the RSDLP since 1908.
Participant in the 1905 revolution.
In 1908-1909, he studied in the evening classes of the Ligovsky folk house.
Since 1912, the correspondents of "Truth".
He was repeatedly arrested, exiled to Siberia in 1916, and released by the February revolution.
Headed the Petrograd Proletkult (1917-1923), an active worker of the "Forge". Founded the magazine "Future" .
He held high positions in the field of culture: in the 1920s, Chairman of the Leningrad Council of art workers (Rabis), in 1930-1936, Director of the Leningrad Conservatory, founded the rabfak and workers ' music University there. From 1937 (to 1943) he was the head of the Leningrad Institute of theater and music.
"Alexei Ivanovich belonged to... the type of Communist-proletkulta, nominee. The appearance of a typical St. Petersburg worker: medium height, physically strong, with a simple, completely unintelligent face, he looked more like a caretaker than the Director of an art Institute… I must say, however, that he was a gentle and rather modest man."
Died in the blockade from exhaustion.  K
