Lidia budogoska (November 22, 1898, Plock — 1984, Leningrad) — Russian writer, novelist, member of the Union of writers of the USSR. In literature she made her autobiographical debut "the Tale of the red girl" (1929). The story largely reflects the difficult years of childhood in Sarapul. Experiments creativity Budogosch reacted favorably one of the masters of children's literature S. Y. Marshak and with his blessing from the pen of a novice novelist one by one out of the book: "Sanitation" (1930), "Nulevki" (1932), "As Sanka in the hearth led" (1933), "the Tale of the lantern" (1936), "Sentry" (1947), repeatedly reprinted. Almost all of her books were illustrated and decorated by her brother. One of the properties talent L. Budogosch is that in her works, as a rule, describes her life, experiences and tested it. There were, of course, exceptions in her writing life. Such, for example, books as "Nulevki" (1932), "Nurses" (1931), "As Sanka in the hearth led" (1933), written on the basis of observations of children. 

Alexey Fedorovich Pakhomov (September 19 [October 2] 1900, der. Varlamovo, Vologda province — April 14, 1973, Leningrad) — Soviet graphic artist and painter. People's artist of the USSR (1971). Full member of the USSR Academy of ARTS (1964). Laureate of the State prize of the USSR (1973 — posthumously) and Stalin prize of the second degree (1946).

In the late 1920s, AF Pakhomov began work in book graphics, his teacher VV Lebedev, who became an art editor of the publishing house "Children's literature" and attracted a number of talented young painters. As a master Lebedev brought a lot of his students in the work, sometimes independently redoing their drawings. In 1936, with the spread of offset printing Pakhomov managed to persuade Lebedev to try to make an offset printing form with pencil drawings. The result was released the book "School mates" Marshak with illustrations Pakhomov. After that, Pakhomov began to illustrate the books mainly in his favorite pencil manner. At this time he also collaborated in children's magazines "Chizh" and "Hedgehog". During the work with Lebedev have Pakhomov has developed in these years his own unique style that differentiate them dozens of illustrated books. AF Pakhomov is one of the leading artists among children's book graphics Leningrad 1920-1940-ies.

In the 1920s he was a member of the Leningrad art Association "Circle of artists", aesthetically close to the Moscow OST.

As a painter Pakhomov created many significant works that took their place in the history of Leningrad art of the 20th century. Among them: "Reaper" (1928, RM), "Girl in blue" (1929, state Russian Museum), "archers" (1930,the state Russian Museum), "Portrait of the women soldiers Molodtsovo" (1931, RM).

Historians of Leningrad art note the belonging of A. F. Pakhomov to the Leningrad school of landscape painting, the masters of which were not limited to the landscape genre alone.

The aesthetics of "graphic realism" was formed not only from the system of artistic techniques. It can also be described as a real creative trend, in view of the agreed creative principles. It United many artists included in the process of formation and development of children's books in the Leningrad graphics of the 1920-1930s.

The war Pakhomov survived the siege of Leningrad. The result was a dramatic series of lithographs "Leningrad during the siege" (1942-1944). In 1944 he took part in the exhibition of five artists working in the blockade in the Russian Museum (V. M. Konashevich, V. V. Pakulin, A. F. Pakhomov, K. I. Rudakov and A. A. Strekavin). Later, in February 1945, they were exhibited in Moscow.
