Juda by Börries von Münchhausen, illustrations by Ephraim Moshe Lillien, Berlin, 1900. This is a book of poems concerning the relationship between the Jews and the historical Land of Israel. At the end of the book there is an illustration entitled: "Thy stranger within thy gates Börries von Münchhausen." Over the years, Münchhausen had a change of heart , became anti-Semitic and supported the Nazis. He wrote in Gothic German. The book, its binding and title pages were all illustrated Lillien. They were one of the first Zionist illustrations to be published. The book is in good condition: slight yellowing and a few stains, binding is reasonably worn and faded.
