WW2 British Miniature Medal Group 39-45 Star Italy Star War Medal, GSM Palestine. * All 4 medals are attached to a metal pin and cannot be separated. ** The diameter of each medal is about 2 cm.
This lot includes (from left to right):
1) The 1939–1945 Star medal, with the original film - awarded by Great Britain on July 8, 1943 for military service in World War II.
2) The 1943–1945 Italy Star medal, with the original ribbon - awarded for operational service on land in Italy, Greece, Yugoslavia... between June 11, 1943 and May 8, 1945 in World War II.
3) The War Medal 1939-1945, with the original ribbon - awarded by Great Britain on August 16, 1945, for those who served full-time in the armed forces or the merchant navy for at least 28 days between September 3, 1939 and September 2, 1945.
4) The General Service Medal (always accompanied by a campaign clasp) 1918 - 1962 General Service Medal (1918) (always accompanied by a campaign clasp), with the original ribbon - was awarded to those serving in the British Armed Forces (Army and Air Force) for participating in the various systems during The years 1918-1962. The decoration was founded in 1923 and was given to soldiers who participated in the said period in the systems, among them; Iraq, Palestine and Cyprus.
