Special letter by the holy Gaon of Shamloy, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, to the Great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Rozen of Dvinsk, the Rogatchover. 1929.
שלומים אלף לשר האלף. כבוד ידיד נפשי וידיד נפש כל חי הרב הגאון האמיתי. שר התורה והחכמה.
In his letter, he sends him the Sefer HaRavan which he published with his Even Shlomo elucidation and his glosses.
In return, the holy Gaon of Shamloy asks for Rabbi Yosef Rosen's books. He also writes that he hopes Rabbi Rosen finds interest in his books.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Der Heiliger Shamloyer Rov [1863-1944] Av Beis Din of Shamloy. One of the greatest Poskim of his generation. Author of the Lechem Shlomo Shlomo and approx. forty additional compositions. The grandson of the holy Gaon author of Kol Aryeh who raised him and taught him Torah. A leading disciple of the holy Rav author of Kedushas Yom Tov of Siget and a Chassid of his son the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar. Perished with his community during the Holocaust.
[1] leaf. Handwritten and signed by the Rav of Shamloy. Stains and some water damage to the lower margins. Very good condition.
