Sefer Rabbeinu Bahya on the Torah, by Rabbeinu Bahya ben Rabbi Asher, two sections in a single volume. Goldman Press, Warsaw 1870.


On the first flyleaf, the handwritten signature of the Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman of Ger. His signature appears also on the title page. On the back flyleaf, notations of his name. Many other ownership notations, including some in a foreign language. Ownership stamps. 

Two sections on Chamisha Chummshei Torah. Special title page for each section. 

The holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman [1871-1941] the son-in-law of the Sefas Emes of Ger and the father-in-law of his great brother-in-law the Imrei Emes of Ger and the Beis Yisroel of Ger. A great Gaon who edited the books of the Sefas Emes. Was a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and one of the leaders of Agudas Yisroel. His only surviving grandson us the Pnei Menachem of Ger. 

Section I: Bereshit and Shemot: [1], 80, 79 leaves. 
Section II: Vayikra, Bamidbar, Devarim: 43, 49, 54 leaves. 
Aging stains. Minor tears. Elegant leather binding. Very good condition.
