הגאון החסיד רבי אברהם שפירא, מצאצאי רבי פנחס שפירא מקוריץ, בן אחר בן, כיהן משנת תרנ"ג כאב"ד בונילאב (בוובינה) על מקום אביו. לאחר נדודיו במלחמת העולם הראשונה התיישב בעיר גאלאנטא. בשנת תרצ"ה עבר להתגורר בפרשבורג, ובשנת תרצ"ח חזר לגור בגאלאנטא. נספה בשואה.
