An etching of a scene from the Genesis number by Gerard Hoet, hand-painted from the time of printing.
Scene from Genesis: Rivka meets Isaac when she falls from the camel - and Rebecca raised her eyes and saw Isaac and fell over the camel [Genesis 24:24].
Gerard Hoet (1648-1733) was an artist and engraving artist, a Dutchman who, among other things, was characterized by his paintings of the Bible.
Size: 37.5x23.6 cm.
The etching is attached to a hardboard for display and preservation.
Condition: Very Good.
